The Rendering Gaze is a video installation exploring time, distortion and narrative structure, through the boundaries between the familiar and the unknown; to investigate what we as viewers gravitate towards and how abstract manipulation challenges this.

The mundane aspects are obscured by multi-layered distortion of recorded sound, photographs and implemented movement; this pushing us outside the frame, to reconsider what forms we are witnessing and to acknowledge the growth of new interpretations.

This shaping a new perception by fabricating the truth of what we know and to create a hindrance for the remaining outsider.
